Since September 2000, she has been documenting urban reality worldwide with prints of street traces, as a personal and social chronicle. To mark the opening of the new branch of the Walter Storms Gallery in Berlin, we are presenting a comprehensive exhibition of works by Günter Fruhtrunk (1923–1982). The focus is on six large-format, characteristic paintings with precisely placed, rhythmically pulsating colored stripes—a trademark that makes Fruhtrunk’s work unmistakable. Three early paintings from his beginnings in Paris in the 1950s complete this overview.

In our Bogenhausen gallery space, we present selected works by the classic painter Raimund Girke (1930–2002). In his compelling and significant life’s work, Girke used painterly processes to focus on analytical research into the material quality and emotional expressiveness of the color white in all its infinite possibilities.
