‘Attracting Samples’ is Tim Freiwald’s first solo-show at my gallery. Freiwald (born 1986) started his study at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Munich with professors Jerry Zeniuk and Thomas Scheibitz in 2007. He finished his studies in 2014 with the titel of master student. In 2015 he participated in the exhibition concrete jungle, curated by Caro Jost, and in the following year, he showed his impressive current work group depth outwards at the BKK Munich. Characteristic for Freiwald’s pieces are his intarsia-like combinations of materials and colored wooden reliefs with divided and reassembled amorphous forms.
