Just before the start of the Oktoberfest, Walter Storms Galerie presents the photo book “Wall of Death. Motodrom” by Florian Holzherr, published by Hirmer Verlag. In the book, the Munich-based photographer captures the breathtaking and dangerous world of steep face skiers.

Holzherr’s work shows his interest in decaying structures and cultural change. His photographs, taken with analog cameras, capture the raw energy and untamed spirit of steep-wall acrobatics. This fascinating art form has been thrilling audiences since the 1920s and is an integral part of Munich’s Oktoberfest.
