In her first solo exhibition, Laura Killer presents works from the series “Über Licht sprechen wollen”

The pictorial reliefs, consisting of matches, wax, and wood, depict two states: the tension before the fire and the gentle fatigue afterwards. The object of the match contains an invitation, which is further emphasized by the serial arrangement of the matches. The burnt match bends and lays itself differently each time, appearing relieved and fragile.

Laura Killer completed a literature degree at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in the class of Gregor Hildebrand.
