STOA169 is an artists&#8217; column hall initiated by the artist Bernd Zimmer. It brings together international artists in one place: more than 100 artists (including Roland Fischer), who were selected by a jury of experts, each designed a column, which together support a common roof. Roland Fischer&#8217;s six-metre-high &#8220;Column for the 21st Century&#8221; was based on the &#8220;Azrieli Center&#8221; in Tel Aviv, whose fa\u00e7ade structure is reflected with its geometric shapes in the office building in Gilching. The motif was selected via the Walter Storms Gallery. Roland Fischer has already been inspired in the past by extraordinary buildings from all over the world for his series &#8220;Fa\u00e7ades&#8221; (since 1997), to which this project also belongs. The &#8220;Kunst am Bau&#8221; object is open to the public during the building&#8217;s opening hours and can also be viewed at any time by anyone interested through the glass fa\u00e7ade.
