In the interplay of clarity of form and nuanced, breathing surfaces, they develop a vitality that can fill any room with their presence.<\/p>\n

Her artistic starting point is minimal art. However, unlike its aesthetics, which are reduced to the concept, Mangold creates unique pieces that each have their own personality.
\nJulia Mangold, born in 1966, studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and graduated in 1996 as a master student of Prof. Reineking. Since then she has had exceptionally successful solo exhibitions in New York, Chicago, London, Verona, Brussels and Berlin. Her works are represented in important American and European collections, including the Panza di Biumo, Sylvain Perlstein and Wynn Kramarsky collections. In 1997 she created two monumental wall works for the Maria Elisabeth L\u00fcders House of the German Bundestag (architect Stephan Braunfels) in Berlin.<\/p>\n

Recent major exhibitions include the presentation of her works at the Busch-Reisinger Museum, Harvard University, and the Yale University Art Museum. Her work has also been shown at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
