Fischer, born in 1958, turned to architecture with the same clarity and created confident new perspectives on the transparent, highly complex Gothic style and the objectively orthogonal facades of modern high-rise buildings. In his latest body of work, “new architectures”, Fischer approaches emblematic buildings of modern and contemporary architecture.<\/p>\n

Roland Fischer, who lives and works in Beijing and Munich, is one of the key figures in contemporary German photographic art. His works are part of numerous public collections and have been shown in many national and international exhibitions. Retrospectives were dedicated to him by the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich (2003), the Museo Domus Artium DA2, Salamanca (2011) and most recently the Saarlandmuseum, Saarbr\u00fccken (2012).<\/p>\n

His most recent important exhibitions include the presentation of his work at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta (2023-2024) and his participation in the exhibition “A Long Arc: Photography and the American South since 1845″, also at the High Museum of Art (2023-2024). These exhibitions underscore his importance in contemporary photography and demonstrate his ongoing exploration of themes such as architecture and abstraction.[\/vc_column_text][ls_vc_spacer vc_height=”20″][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][ls_vc_spacer vc_height=”20”][\/vc_column]\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/section>\n\n\t\n\t\t
