In 2003 the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, showed a retrospective of Roland Fischers’s photographic work. Around the same time, our collaboration began, which now continues in Fischer’s 8th solo-exhibition at my gallery. One of the highlights of our cooperation surely was the production of the “Chinese Pool Portraits” and their first-time presentation at the Shanghai Art Fair in 2007.

Fischer’s work is divided into two thematical areas, portrait and architecture. In both fields, Roland Fischer has created unique and extensive groups of works, which are “typical Fischer” and do not  have an adequate comparison. Plenty of publications document his creative work.

Our current presentation shows a selection of his latest pieces from the work groups “New Architectures”, “Cathedrals” and “Facades”.
